The Smart Tables® provide a framework to bring consistency to loss of future earnings awards

In most developing countries, judicial awards for loss of future earnings are not based on actuarial principles. This has led to increased and lengthy litigation, higher costs,  inconsistent awards and uncertainty.

The Smart Tables® seeks to reduce the speculative uncertainty involved. Traditionally, the multiplier is determined by deducing the expected number of working years remaining to the injured party, which is then reduced by a largely unscientific factor to reflect the uncertainties of life and advanced payment.
